OUR TEAM

One of the arms of the UPCI is Ladies Ministries. Ladies Ministries is an exciting, vibrant ministry made up of women across North America. We have sister groups around the world who work faithfully and untiringly for the sake of spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ in their own and other lands.

It is exciting to know that God included a place in the body for women and that we have been given freedom to work in the various missions and ministries for which we have a burden.

Ladies Ministries Staff

Linda Gleason

Ladies Ministries President

Linda Gleason became president in 2016. She has served Ladies Ministries for over forty years in various capacities. She first served as district secretary and then president in the Oregon District and for eleven years as general secretary of Ladies Ministries International. Linda brings with her a wealth of experience in all the work of Ladies Ministries. She is a sought-after speaker for ladies’ conferences nationwide and has ministered in several foreign countries as well. Linda’s husband, Gary Gleason, has served in numerous offices of the United Pentecostal Church. She is the blessed mother of four children and grandmother of four. Linda Gleason will continue to work for the good of Ladies Ministries.

Jane Buford

Ladies Ministries Secretary

Jane Buford, former executive assistant for Ladies Ministries, now steps into the more rigorous role as general secretary of Ladies Ministries. Jane has availed herself of the detailed history of Ladies Ministries. She represents Ladies Ministries well in whatever capacity she is needed. Jane is married to P. Daniel Buford who is an associate editor for the United Pentecostal Church International. They have two sons, Brandon/Brianne Buford and Brad/Tempie Buford, and five of the best grandchildren in the world.

Julie Long

Editor, Reflections Magazine

Julie was raised in Pakistan as an MK. She is a writer who would rather read; a speaker who would rather listen; a joyful wife to Peter and a determined mother of two. She shares her passion for discipleship in a Reflections magazine column and online at moretolifetoday.com. Julie is the More to Life Ladies Ministries program director and serves as the Atlantic District Ladies Ministries president. The Long’s pastor the Pentecostals of Miramichi, New Brunswick.

Julie is married to Brian, a Critical Care Paramedic, and they have two children, Bethany and Andrew. Andrew is in the military, and Bethany is married to Mark, and they have four beautiful children. Julie and Brian have three adorable granddaughters and a handsome grandson, whom they adore! Julie loves family game nights with lots of laughs. She loves to travel and meet new people. Julie and Brian enjoy having people over for dinner and giving Bible studies. Julie has an identical twin sister.

Duana Sargent

Administrative Assistant

Duana was born and raised in Texas. Married Darin Sargent, and they pastored in the Southern California District for 16 years. They recently relocated to St. Louis in the last 3 years from San Diego, CA. They have 3 children, two of whom are married and one in college. They are expecting their first grandbaby in April. Duana was involved in Ladies Ministries in the SoCal District, from decorating to becoming Promotional Director. Ladies Ministries has been an integral part of her life for many years. She is so excited to be a part of the Ladies Ministries team.
