Love Notes from Your Savior
By Megan McNeal
Here it comes again … Happy Valentine’s Day! Happy Anniversary! Happy … Whatever! But not so “happy” when we carry painful memories in our hearts; saddened by reminders of the romance, love, and relationships we used to have.
We cope in different ways. Some try to ignore it until it’s over for another year. Some pour themselves into making the day “happy” for others – our children, parents, other single moms. Some celebrate anyway, focusing on new sources of love and joy in life.
However you celebrate – or cope – can I remind you of One who adores you completely and understands you intimately?
He’s holding you and your young ones in His strong, gentle arms right now. He watches over you while you sleep. He walks with you through each day. He’s actually waiting for YOU to turn your eyes toward Him and notice Him.
It’s Jesus – the Lover of your Soul and true Husband of your Heart. He reassures us of this amazing, faithful love over and over again in His Word which cannot fail and does not ever change.
Here are a few of His Love Notes to you. Please, please – let them sink deep into your heart and fill your soul with the joy of being forever-loved!
YOUR SAVIOR SAYS:
You are Loved: “Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love …” (Jeremiah 31:3)
You are Beautiful: “Behold, thou art fair, my love; behold, thou art fair; thou hast doves' eyes.” (Song of Songs 1:15)
You are Noticed: “As the lily among thorns, so is my love among the daughters.”
You Delight God’s Heart: “…as the bridegroom rejoiceth over the bride, so shall thy God rejoice over thee.” (Isaiah 62:5)
You are Desired: “My beloved spake, and said unto me, Rise up, my love, my fair one, and come away.” (Song of Songs 2:10)
You are Held: “Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of my hands…” (Isaiah 49:16)
You are Not Alone: “Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God…” (Isaiah 41:10)
You are Cherished: “O my dove, that art in the clefts of the rock, in the secret places of the stairs, let me see thy countenance, let me hear thy voice; for sweet is thy voice, and thy countenance is comely.” (Song of Songs 2:14)
You are Taken Care Of: “Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom.” (Luke 12:32)
You Can Rest in Him: “Come unto me … and I will give you rest.” (Matthew 11:28)
You Have a Wonderful Future: “Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.” (1 Cor. 2:9)
So now … have a truly happy day with the One who adores you more than you could even hope for! Let Him wrap you in His strong arms, cover you with the peace of His protection, and romance your heart with His faithful, forever love.
And whenever you need a reminder of Faithful Love … read His Love Notes. ☺
