Haley's Story

God has been good! Haley was born at three pounds and one ounce. She stayed in the hospital for two months and was diagnosed with cancer at seventeen months old. She had two surgeries at that time, one to remove the tumor and another to place a port for the chemo and bloodwork.

Haley went through six rounds of chemotherapy from the end of October 2014 through March 2015. It has been a rollercoaster, from mood swings to fevers and the back and forth to hospitals. I hated to see her lose her hair and see her go through so much. The chemo would cause her to throw up and she would just cry. It took a toll on us as well. There were times I would cry with her.

Many times Haley’s tumor marker (which indicates cancer) would start going up which would scare us and then it would come back down. It did this numerous times. We had a lot of people praying for her. God got us through all the treatments. She is now in remission. Her blood is checked monthly and she has a MRI every three months. Please keep Haley in your prayers, that the cancer will never come back.

God has had His hands on this baby girl from birth. He must have great things for her.

Anita Long attends Pentecostals of Ruston located in Ruston, Louisiana. Haley is her great-niece, and she has custody of her. Pray that God will bless with the funds to adopt Haley.
